asanwa the girl with the scar face

Continuation part
On a beautiful morning in ikot answa a village in calabar. There was a young pretty teenager called asanwa, who was born and breaded in ikot, being the only daughter to a farmer named kator, who leaved on the out skirt of answa village. Life was quiet and peaceful with her and her small family. Asanwa being the last of the three siblings and the only girl in the family, she was cherished and loved dearly by her parent and her two brothers until one day. Asanwa's mother woke her up in a haste and in a loud voice.;" asanwa! Asanwa! "Asanwa "she answered"; yes mama. Asanwa's mother replied"; Wake up, the sun is rising. And there is no water for your father to use in the bathroom and for me cook breakfast o. Come quickly and fetch water for me. And so Asanwa stood up. Stretching and yawning and reluctantly she strolled to the kichen to pick up her clay pot to go and fetch some water from nearby stream. Alone and groggy she wrestle with her wrapper as she yawn's and walked, dragging her feet along the path that lead to the stream, As she got to the middle of the road she noticed an old wretched old woman seating by the edge of the bush. "Asanwa greeted": good morning mama, hope no problem? And why are you seated by the edge of the road this early mama. "Old woman replied": my daughter thank u for asking. I went to the stream to get some water and I decided to rest for a while to regain my strength, my daughter. I am old and aged and my limbs are weak, I have no child of my own who could have help me out, "she shook her head in pity for the old woman". And she replied": come mama let me help you with the water. "Old woman replied in joy": oh thank you my daughter may the Gods of our land reward and bless you, As they proceeded to the old woman's house she noticed the wind was steal and she said to the old woman "mama I think the hamattan season is approaching as the wind is steal this morning": old woman replied": hmm my daughter were are still very much in the raining season. As you can see the farm are still green and lush and market day approaches, and so they continued to the old woman's hut she dropped the pot of water and said to the old woman ": mama I have placed the pot of water in the kichen and I will be heading back to the stream so I can fetch some water for my mother, As she will be expecting me. The old woman thanked her one more time in appreciation. As she opened the door a cold wind blew through her hair and she felt sudden chill down her spine and she looked back at the old woman were she sat. The old woman sighed and called asanwa in a low voice "; asanwa". And she replied with a trembling voice" yes mama. "old woman";. Come closer my daughter. Asanwa moved closer. The old woman said to asanwa , "beware of the dark that looms around the waters. "Asanwa eyes brightens as she asked the old woman"; but mama I don't understand what you just said. "the Old woman replied"; be careful my daughter be very careful. I see a bad omen lurking in the village and around you and beware while you walk down that road, I have seen bad omen around there, "asanwa replied in fear"; ah mama.,am scared o. What am I to do and the old lady replied" may the light of our oracle surround you and guide you. Go now my daughter go. And so she left. On getting to the stream she noticed there was no one at the river bank fetching water. As the queens maids always come early to fetch water for the queen and her royal prince and princesses. She was baffled by their absence But she assumed the queen had instructed not to come and so she proceeded to deep her clay pot into the stream, as asanwa was about to deep her feet into the water she noticed the water was disturbed, she raised her head up to look but couldn't see anyone and so she proceeded to fetch from the stream, but as she was about to lift her pot of water, she noticed something moving again in the bush nearby. "And so Asanwa shouted"; is anyone there?.who is there? Reveal your self. Suddenly she noticed a shadow emerging from the thick forest and approaching towards her from the bush. Asanwa was startled and alittle bit shaken And weary of the shadow before her, but she comforted her self and decided not to run. Meanwhile the shadow turned out to be the son of agony the great hunter of obam village. A young, tall, dark, stud. Who came from a neighboring village to hunt in answa , And so he introduce him self to asanwa as he stood tall before her and he said "it is I Nkem the son of agony the great hunter of Obam. Asanwa welcomed him warmly and with respect as she lowered here eyes and kneeled to pay her tribute before him. He was fascinated and wondered in his thought were such a well trained and respectful young lady came from he couldn't help but stair at her magnetic smile and her eyes. And so he smiled in pleasing gesture as she welcomed him once more. with a worm smile and accepting gesture. And So he offered to carry asanwa's water pot as they walk down the road, Asanwa was captivated by nkem's kind and gentle nature and her likeness grew stronger over time for Nkem. One evening. And make her visit me around evening time. Choii this girl dey skata my head. She has to come ,I have to think of something.
